Anti-slavery statements

From 1st October 2015, employers with an annual turnover of more than £36million are now required to publish a slavery and human trafficking statement for each financial year, setting out the steps they have taken to ensure that no slavery or human trafficking exists in their business or supply chains. This must be published on a website, or where no website exists, employers must provide the statement upon request. Due to the nature of this requirement, it is likely that these larger businesses will need to examine the training, policies and procedures in place for their own organisations, but crucially, within their supply chains too.
