National Minimum Wage – October 2015

The annual rise in the National Minimum Wage came into force on 1st October 2015, increasing the hourly rate for Employees over the age of 21 from £6.50 to £6.70. Employees aged 18 to 20 should now be paid a minimum of £5.30 per hour, aged under 18 should now be paid a minimum of £3.87 per hour, and apprentices should be paid a minimum of £3.30 per hour (if aged 16 to 18, or if aged 19 or over and in their first year of apprenticeship).
