Gender Pay Gap Reporting

Legislation for gender pay gap reporting does not come into effect until early 2017, however organisations with 250 or more employees may need to commence data collection in this regard immediately if they have not done so already.

The legislation will require the publication of gender pay gap and gender bonus gap details on an annual basis and it is expected that the first reports will need to be published by April 2018, with pay data being based on payments made over the employer’s pay period every April, commencing April 2017.  Bonus data will need to cover the preceding 12 month period, initially covering the 12 months preceding April 2017.
